Music
Research shows that music education increases children’s cognitive development.
Preschool: Music is incorporated into the classroom experience through singing, movement, and playing rhythm instruments.
Elementary: Students recieve music instruction twice a week. In kindergarten through fourth grade students learn music concepts through listening, creating, and performing music. Beginner band class is taught in fifth grade. Students apply music theory learned in previous grades.
Middle School: Students can choose from playing in the Steel Drum Band, Music Tech, or Choristers Choir.
